The Inuit | Eskimo culture is rich and long standing. Originally the Eskimos traveled from Asia to northern North America   [Alaska] via the land bridge across the Bering Strait. They gradually spread across the Arctic regions of the continent and settled in the Soviet Union, United States of America, Canada and Greenland.

Canada is made up of several native and aboriginal communities; Eskimo's being the most prominent. In Canada Eskimo's refer to themselves as 'Inuit' [meaning 'the people']. Since Canada's Inuit community lives near the Arctic Circle, life is a constant battle with the elements and survival is always a challenge. Through strife, the Inuit community of Canada established a strong identity and values.
